Tarte D’ Alsace

Tonight I’m going to be lazy and walk over to the freezer and open a package or two of my favorite flatbread from Trader Joe’s.  I think this is better than pizza because the crust is super thin and for a quarter of a slice you’re only consuming 150 calories.  Don’t get me wrong, I still love pizza but it’s so hard to find good pizza where the crust is thin and crispy.

So whenever I feel like having pizza I open a package of Tarte D’ Alsace by Maitre Pierre frozen flatbread pizza made with caramelized onions, ham, and gruyere cheese.  It doesn’t take long to bake it and I like to add more cheese and bake it for 15 minutes so that all the cheese melts and the crust is crispy.   I normally buy 3 – 4 every couple of weeks so that when I’m craving pizza I just just pop one in the oven….pizza is ready!!!

The second flatbread, I am going to put some wild mushroom sauté and open a bottle of wine and enjoy each bite.  I just know it’s going to be delicious and wanting more.  I am also going to sprinkle some red pepper flakes to add a little heat.  Can’t wait for the food to be ready, I’m already salivating writing about this.

Ciao for now!!!
