Pyramid Ale

A beautiful warm Sunday afternoon and the family is here shopping around Broadway Plaza Shopping Center, Urban Outfitters, art festival and ended up at Pyramid Breweries to have a light snack and have a couple of glasses of beer.  Ice cold beer always tastes good in hot weather and we were lucky to get a table outside the courtyard.

Boy was it hot and we ordered crispy calamari strips, spicy chicken wings, pizza margherita, sweet potato fries, and Southwest chicken salad with black beans, romaine lettuce, roasted corn, fresh avocado, red peppers and tortilla chips with grilled chicken breast & ranch dressing.  My sister had Alehouse amber ale and I had Haywire Hefeweizen.  Too bad I missed the facial expression my mom had when she took a sip of my beer.  My sister was laughing so hard and of course my niece and I chimed in and continued to tease Mom.  The food at Pyramid Breweries is your typical American food, nothing to brag about but it’s good to occasionally stop by to have a pitcher of beer and snack in a hot day.
