Iguanas Burrittozilla Review
I’ve wanted to try this place ever since Man vs. Food aired an episode of the Five pound Burritozilla (eighteen inches long). When your watching food shows they make it look so inviting that you also want to try and experience the supposedly delicious food. I understand that there will be hits and misses. Iguanas Burritozilla is located in San Jose one block from San Jose State. I ordered super carnitas burrito with black beans, no rice, cheese, guacamole, and sour cream. The cheese was good but carnitas was okay, not the usual carnitas I’ve had in SF or East Bay, crunchy chunks of browned meat cooked to perfection. I was disappointed to see carnitas individually wrapped in foil. As I was eating this I was already comparing Costco carnitas. I can’t remember the brand but it’s actually pretty good for store bought pre-made carnitas. When I take two bites of food that I have been dreaming about and all I wanted to do was to take it home, it’s a sure sign that I am not impressed.
We also ordered regular nachos….can’t believe they use Velveeta cheese. I expected Mexican cheese… cheddar and Monterey jack cheese …the same type of nachos you purchase in movie theaters. I felt so cheated. I will definitely not go back.
Ciao for now!!!
