A bowl of sinfully plump shrimp dumplings, slices of Peking duck, and noodles swimming in supreme stock, whispering “eat me eat me” in my ears.
The food is super fresh and loved the peanut sauce with my vegetable spring rolls. Service is excellent. I’ve tried some other dishes and it’s been excellent especially fish with coconut curry sauce. I want lick the plate because it’s so good.
Driving home I can smell the nice aroma…fresh minced garlic and fresh basil it was so intoxicatingly good that I was tempted to pull over and take a bite.
I love the fact that you get to choose what you want on your burger by checking it off on your order sheet. You are able to choose up to six different types of buns you on ( and for those carb conscious they have a bowl too). My recommended that an order of sweet potato fries will feed three people.
One of my guilty pleasures good dessert. When Shaadzee Bakery Cafe first opened I didn’t know how long this place would last. For months now I have been curious if the dessert looks as good as it taste.
I thought I would surprise Mom for a late lunch at Fog City Diner. She recently saw rave reviews of Fog City’s Mac n Cheese and wanted to surprise her. We walked from the financial district to Battery Street and I had forgotten how far it is for Mom.
The price is fair and great salad buffet. During this visit I had my usual a little Caesar Salad and Won Ton Chicken Happiness, Aunt Doris’ Red Pepper Slaw, Joan’s Broccoli Madness, Thai Citrus & Brown Rice salad and you can go back as many times you would like. I went back for seconds of Aunt Doris’ Red Pepper Slaw, it was so good and it did not contain any fat at all. I have to try to make this slaw and remember the ingredients they used.
I don’t know why I have been in a curry coconut sauce kick lately that I order fish with spicy curry coconut sauce with crispy Thai basil. I was so glad to see brown rice in the menu and ordered a small bowl. When the food arrived I could not wait to taste the fish and curry sauce.
A beautiful warm Sunday afternoon and the family is here shopping around Broadway Plaza Shopping Center, Urban Outfitters, art festival and ended up at Pyramid Breweries to have a light snack and have a couple of glasses of beer.
The street is full of street vendors and Farmer’s Market is open for business and we browsed around a bit and the chilly breeze from the Bay brought us to our first stop….Hog Island Oyster Company. When we finally arrived at The Slanted Door the only seating available was at the bar. Ferry Plaza Wine Merchant & Wine Bar for a little wine tasting before heading home.
From where we were sitting you can see the vineyard, wine tasting room, and golf course. With the sun beating down on our skin, I suggested we order wine with lunch….so many wines to choose from. We wanted something light, crisp, and will compliment our food.
Iguanas Burritozilla is located in San Jose one block from San Jose State. I ordered super carnitas burrito with black beans, no rice, cheese, guacamole, and sour cream.
